Mety Choa hone her design acumen at Raffles Lasalle Singapore with a brief stint in Paris. She began her fashion design journey in 2004, and in 2008, she founded her namesake brand, gaining popularity among Indonesian socialites and a diverse global clientele.

She rebranded into Maison Met in 2017, specializing on bespoke evening and wedding gowns, cocktail dresses and pret-a-couture separates; each crafted with sophisticated elegance and for occasion suitability.

Maison Met’s breakthrough came with the [Blanc] collection debut at New York Fashion Week in 2017, propelling Choa’s designs into popular culture.

The brand’s designs have adorned international celebrities, including Nicole Scherzinger, Gwen Stefani, Gigi Hadid, Rita Ora, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Guan Xiaotong, Anggun Cipta Sasmi, Kat Graham, Rose Bertram, Krisdayanti and Cinta Laura Kiehl at prestigious events like the 2018 Asian Games, Grammys 2019, Golden Globes 2019 , Cannes Festival 2023 and Louise Wong at 2024 Hong Kong Film Awards.
